For this quarter, all staff members of the Firm visited Nunge Elderly Home in Kigamboni District – Dar es Salaam on 18th March 2023.

Ms. Happy Said, (Associate at QnB) oversaw the activity whereby prior to the visitation, she contacted the Social Workers in charge of the home Ms. Jackline and Ms. Mwansasu to share with them our ‘WHY’ of the visit. Our goal was to offer not only financial support to the home, but also to spend some quality time with the elderly and have chats with them through which chats, we would be able to offer them legal advice.

On 18th day of March 2023, the Firm members arrived at Nunge Home where we were welcomed by Ms. Mwansasu, who guided us throughout the visit. She gave us a brief history of the place before we handed over the gifts to her which included foodstuffs and hygiene products for the ‘Wazee’. After the gifts exchange exercise, we went on to see the ‘Wazee’, spent some time with them as well as offered free legal advice through the Q&A session that we held and the private individual chats.

At the end of the visit the elderly people were thankful for our time spent there, the gifts they received from us as well as the legal advice offered to them. They were delighted for our visit and asked that we must return soon. We will certainly DO.
